I have talked about LIPs earlier. They were referring to Windows XP. The hitch with those LIPs was that you can not toggle between Hindi and English. This problem is solved with Hindi LIP for Vista. Outlook2003 and 2007 using same mailbox

Recently I got a new laptop -HP Compaq nx6325. I partitioned the hard disk into three -C, E and F. I installed Windows XP SP2 in C and Windows Vista in E. Next was Office suite. I installed Office 2003 in C in the XP partition and Office 2007 in E in the Vista partition. I put the Outlook .PST file in F drive. Now I configured Outlook 2003 (part of Office 2003) and Outlook 2007 (part of Office 2007) to use the same .PST file. Surprisingly, both are working fine. Now I can work in XP or Vista and use my mailbox without any problem. I am thrilled.

I would like to wish a very happy and prosperous new year to the readers of Vishva Kannada. A lot of time was spent in re-installing all the software in my PC. Then again I had to reformat the system and again re-install everything. I will write why I had to do all these in a separate article. Till then, happy times.

New site

After dragging for nearly one year, finally, the new site is up. But the contents are yet to come. As I am busy with so many things, it will take some time for all the sections to be filled up. Thanks should go to H P Nadig who did go thru so many content management servers (CMS) on the web and finally decided on Drupal. It took some time to figure out the pros and cons between different free and opensource CMSes available. Be patient and be with me while I convert and upload the old content into the new Unicode format.
